ROBERT ROBINSON
Guitar Teacher
ABOUT ME
Experienced Teacher
I achieved a distinction at my Trinity Grade 8 Rock and Pop exam and have been a qualified CT ABRSM instrumental guitar teacher since 2003. In addition to this, I am a proud member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors.
From beginner’s level to advanced students, the guidance from a dedicated teacher reduces the frustrations of self teaching and maximises learning.

I teach a variety of genres including Rock, Pop, Thrash Metal, Grunge, Rock and Roll, Country and Jazz. For beginners, it starts with pulse and rhythm work, learning basic chords, finger exercises, reading music and guitar tab. The next level of learning is about more advanced techniques suited to the chosen style of music the student would like to study.
I’m very patient and tailor my lessons to suit my students individual style and pace of development. This motivates them to work towards a high level of achievement.
I'm happy to teach all age groups and arrange graded examinations if required.
I am DBS checked.

Experienced Player
I have enjoyed playing the guitar for over forty years. At the beginning of my career I played in many clubs including The Marquee, based in London. From this I then went onto recording records, touring Europe and playing on live radio.
From 2005, I have been playing as part of a function band that have performed in theatres, weddings, corporate and private functions.
Additionally, I currently volunteer as lead and string bass guitarist for the Royal British Legion Band and Corps of Drums Romford.
